Matthew was born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing just over 1 pound. He may be small, but he is mighty and has been fighting hard in this world. He spent some time in the NICU at the children's hospital. Born addicted to multiple drugs, he has faced not only the challenges of his early birth but also the struggles of withdrawal. Matthew has five siblings who are also in foster care. The family caring for his siblings has graciously agreed to welcome him into their home so they can all be together.

Matthew has recently begun visiting relatives and extended family, which has made napping a bit more challenging for him. Given his age, adjusting to these new environments can be tough. The large pack and play he used to bring along has been quite cumbersome to transport and set up. To make things easier, this small travel bed would serve as a safe and comfortable space for him to rest when he’s spending time with family.
