Athena is a sweet and bubbly girl with a warm and friendly personality. She is currently in foster care, which has presented her with some challenges. Athena has a rare genetic disorder called Pompe disease, which affects her muscle and nerve cells. To manage her condition, she requires bi-weekly infusions that last about six hours each session. Despite these medical challenges, Athena remains very active and playful. She loves visiting the park and the beach, and enjoys playing with her toys.
