Luisa is a passionate student and aspiring Doctor of Physical Therapy who is currently preparing to apply to graduate school this summer. She serves as a Los Angeles County Youth Commissioner, proudly representing the Fifth District, and is actively involved in advocacy through the County’s Subcommittee for Human Trafficking. In addition to her public service, Luisa works as an Exercise Specialist Assistant, where she supports individuals in their physical wellness journeys. Despite facing significant challenges—including the impact of inflation and local wildfires that have reduced her patient hours—Luisa remains resilient, relying on food pantries while continuing to pursue her academic and professional goals. Her deepest motivation stems from a desire to care for her community and to one day have the knowledge, skills, and power to prevent suffering and save lives, especially for those she loves.
