Wrigley, 13 years old, CA

Wrigley entered the system just a month before his 9th birthday. Due to the abuse he experienced, he faced severe mental health challenges, leading to frequent changes in his placements, which included hospitalizations, family homes, foster homes, and currently, a group home. Wrigley is determined to do better and does not want to follow in his parents' footsteps. He has managed to remain stable in the group home for almost a year. Wrigley has successfully integrated into two mainstream classes and is doing well. He is following the rules of his placement and getting along with his peers. After struggling to improve his behavior at school, he has gone an entire month without any incidents. Wrigley is smart, funny, and helpful. He has been teaching himself how to play the piano, as the group home has a piano in the living room. He is also very skilled at video games and saved his allowance to buy a phone for himself. His goal is to move into a regular foster home and eventually live with his grandparents.
