Anahi spent part of her youth in foster care. After aging out of the system, she faced housing instability but ultimately secured her own apartment. Having a stable home has been a significant milestone for Anahi, as it allows her daughter, Kataleya, the freedom to play, explore, and simply be a child without the stress of navigating shared or unsafe living spaces. Kataleya is a bright and energetic little girl who loves dolls, music, and sensory play. She is autistic and nonverbal and has worked hard through early intervention and therapies as she prepares for school. Anahi is committed to providing her with a loving, supportive, and consistent environment. Anahi is also a college student majoring in Administration of Justice with the goal of becoming a detective. Her passion for justice is rooted in her personal experiences, having witnessed how people, including members of her own family, can be misunderstood or mistreated by the systems meant to protect them. In addition to her academic pursuits, Anahi is a dedicated athlete. Soccer has been a powerful outlet for discipline, resilience, and self-confidence as she balances motherhood, school, and her pursuit of long-term stability.
