Adon, 12 years old, OR

Adon is a thoughtful and creative young person who has gone through a lot after entering foster care when his parents were arrested. Now he lives with family members and is trying to adjust to new routines and feelings that come with this change. Even though it hasn’t always been easy, Adon keeps moving forward with strength and is finding ways to understand his experiences and the world around him. To cope, Adon spends time listening to music and being outdoors. Being outside makes him feel free and calm, helping him escape from stress and reconnect with himself. Music is also important to him, as it helps him feel understood and less lonely. He also loves writing, whether it’s keeping a journal or creating his own stories. Writing allows him to express his feelings and share his journey. Through these activities, Adon is building his strength and discovering who he is despite his challenges.
