Daisy, 18 years old, CA
Daisy has been in foster care since she was six years old. While in care, she lost her mother to cancer. Despite everything she has been through, Daisy is incredibly strong—she survived a tragic accident that nearly took her life. She also showed great courage by testifying against the person responsible, helping bring justice in her case. Daisy is currently living in a Transitional Housing Program (THP) and working toward earning her high school diploma. She is in therapy and focused on building a stable, independent future. Her experiences have shaped her into a resilient and determined young woman with a strong outlook on life. Daisy dreams of becoming a nurse, inspired by the care she received during her recovery. She also enjoys doing lashes and nails, using it as a creative outlet and a way to help others feel confident. She is kind, respectful, and optimistic, even after facing many challenges. Right now, Daisy is learning important life skills like cooking and is actively looking for a job. She is also interested in taking self-defense classes to help her feel more confident and safe as she continues building her independence.
