Charlette, 19 years old, WA
Charlette is currently in nursing school and is excited to begin a career in a field she feels deeply passionate about. Growing up in and out of foster homes, she often struggled with not feeling truly cared for or supported, which is part of what inspires her desire to care for others now. For Charlette, becoming a nurse is more than just a job — it is an opportunity to provide compassion, comfort, and support to people who may be going through difficult moments in their lives. She hopes to be the kind of person who makes others feel seen, safe, and valued. Outside of school, Charlette enjoys walking in nature to clear her mind, reflect, and get fresh air. Spending time outdoors helps bring her peace and balance as she continues working hard toward building a future rooted in healing and care for others.
