When it comes to Gabriel's foster care journey, it is important to recognize the significant growth they have made in their ability to communicate and advocate for themselves. Although they have faced many challenges throughout their life, these experiences have pushed them to become more confident in expressing their thoughts, identifying their needs, and seeking support when necessary. As a result of navigating the foster care system, they have developed stronger self-advocacy skills and are now better able to communicate effectively with others while continuing to build on these strengths. Gabriel is now attending college and continues to apply these skills in order to succeed in college. They are eager to break the cycle of general poverty by using college as a key to achieving their definition of success.
