Milly, 19 years old, CA

Milly entered foster care at 13 years old after being removed from her home. Throughout her time in care, she lived in three different foster homes, each presenting its own unique challenges. Despite experiencing instability and difficult circumstances, Milly remained determined to keep moving forward and never let her experiences define her. Today, Milly is a third-year Kinesiology major where she is working toward her dream of becoming a sports psychologist. She is passionate about helping others and hopes to combine her love of athletics with mental health to support future athletes in reaching their full potential. In her free time, Milly enjoys going on hikes, playing basketball, working out, and watching true crime shows. She describes herself as disciplined, adaptable, and someone who never gives up easily. Those qualities have helped her overcome adversity and continue pursuing her education and long-term goals. Milly is committed to creating a bright future for herself while inspiring others through her perseverance and determination.
