Marcus spent much of his adolescence moving through the foster care system, and after aging out, he's been working hard to build independence through an independent living program. He's now preparing for an exciting next chapter by enrolling in a Job Corps program. Marcus is determined and disciplined, someone who shows up early and works harder than most, and he's especially interested in construction and electrical work. In his downtime, he likes working out, listening to podcasts about personal finance and self-improvement, and mentoring younger kids in his program who remind him of himself a few years back. Marcus has faced housing instability and had to become self-sufficient far earlier than most young people, but he's channeled that experience into real motivation.
