Amara currently lives in a residential facility, where she's working through the emotional weight of years of instability and multiple placements in the foster care system. It hasn't been an easy road, but Amara has found real strength in structure and routine, and she's been steadily building trust with the staff and peers around her. She has a real passion for music, especially playing around with beats and lyrics, and dreams of one day working in the music industry. Amara also enjoys journaling as a way to process her feelings and loves spending time drawing elaborate designs in the margins of her notebooks. She can be guarded at first, a natural response to everything she's been through, but she's warm and funny once she feels safe with someone.
