Bernadette and her brother were placed with their grandmother after their mother struggled with substance abuse. She's managed to stay positive through it all, filling her days with hobbies like reading and creative pursuits such as art, drawing, and beading. One of her favorite things is simply watching the foxes and peacocks play in her grandmother's yard. She's a thoughtful, creative girl who finds joy in the small moments.
