Derrick is a mover whose vibrant energy and resilient spirit bring joy to everyone around him. He navigates life with several congenital conditions, including differences in his spine and hips as well as hydrocephalus, but approaches each day with determination and enthusiasm. One of Derrick's biggest daily challenges is finding shoes that fit properly. Because his feet are two different sizes, finding comfortable footwear that accommodates both his needs and his Ankle-Foot Orthosis (AFO) can be difficult. Ill-fitting or mismatched shoes can affect his stability and make getting around safely and comfortably more challenging.
