Lehigh Valley Families Together (LVFT) provides family services to children and families in Lehigh and Northampton Counties. These services include family case management and counseling through in-home services, resource family care (foster care), visit coaching and family group decision making. LVFT strives to preserve the family whenever possible. When children are living with their biological/legal parents, we work within the family, providing intensive case management, counseling and education. When children are not able to live with their biological/legal parents, we work to reunify the family. We provide foster care that ensures the children are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment. When possible, we work with the parent(s) to continue the bond between parent and child while enacting changes in their lives to improve family relations, communication skills and healthy lifestyles. Our goal is to shorten the length of time children stay in foster care and help parents build a family that will be stable, emotionally and physically safe, and promote the well-being of all family members. Unfortunately, LVFT does, at times, face situations which do not allow for a child to be returned home.
