Founded in 2008, Haven Academy is a public charter school located in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx, the most impoverished congressional district in the nation. While the school is open to all students it is specifically designed to meet the needs of at-risk students who are currently in foster care and the New York City Child Welfare system. The Mott Haven Academy Charter School empowers children in an educational environment that addresses and reduces the barriers to academic success through the integration of FAMILY support services with a rigorous, college-preparatory academic program.
