Agency philosophy stems from the premise that every individual and family has strengths and capabilities that can and must be developed. Guiding the development of those strengths are the Core Principles of the Advocate Programs. The principles reflect the agency's ongoing commitment to family-focused programming that empowers youth and families to lead healthy, safe and productive lives.
YAP is serving over 2,000 youth and families at any given time. The agency provides child welfare, mental health and juvenile justice systems with cost-effective alternatives to residential, correctional and other out-of-home placements. A significant percentage of clients served are those who have been rejected by other service providers.
