Joselyne was born in a refugee camp in Tanzania. Her biological parents came from Burundi and fled there to escape the civil war. Unfortunately, Joselyne was unable to be adopted because she lacked a birth certificate. Tanzania claims she is a Burundian citizen, while Burundi asserts that she is a Tanzanian citizen. Since entering foster care, Joselyne’s permanency team has been fighting for her citizenship. Despite the challenges she has faced, Joselyne is a beautiful and intelligent young lady with big plans for her future. She aspires to become a labor and delivery nurse. With her kind spirit, Joselyne is determined to give back to the world.

Joselyn wants a relaxing coloring book for the end of a long day. She loves the paint by number books. She finds these to be very relaxing and it helps calm her after a stressful day. She wanted some new things for Christmas.
