Joselyne was born in Africa in a refugee camp in Tanzania. Her biological parents were from Burundi and fled to Tanzania to avoid the civil war in Burundi. She was not been able to be adopted because she has no birth certificate. Tanzania says Joselyne is a Burundi citizen and Burundi says Joselyne is a Tanzania citizen. Since being in foster care, Joselyne’s permanency team has been fighting for her citizenship. Joselyne is a beautiful and intelligent young lady. Despite the bumps in the road, she has big plans for her future! She wants to be a labor and delivery nurse. Joselyne has a kind spirit and wants to give back give back to the world.
