An athlete with a 3.8 GPA, Nylea would like wireless headphones to listen to music while she takes the bus to school and when she works out while preparing for sports. The holiday is an especially hard time since she lost her mom last Christmas. Music helps her relax and is a good way for her to take her mind off some of the more difficult things happening around her.
Nylea is 18 years old and lives in NJ
Nylea is the epitome of an athlete-scholar. Although she can be really shy at first, she’s a sweet girl and a star athlete in both basketball and track and field. Committed to working hard on and off the court, she’s also an honor roll student. As if that is not enough, Nylea is also one of our best volunteers for the community service projects we participate in. She plans to go to college after high school.
