Avery is an amazing young lady who has aged out of foster care with the sweetest disposition. She is a hard worker and has found a job she really enjoys that lets her work with animals and plants. Avery loves the outdoors, is an avid swimmer, and is always eager to help others. Athena is working to change her name to Avery.

Athena loves Christmas time, but she has to spend it in a group home. She has asked for a box of candy canes, her favorite candy, to help get her in the mood for celebrating the holidays. This will bring her a little more joy and help lift her spirits.
