Jose, 15 years old

Jose's favorite color is red. He has a deep love for animals and once had a bird as a pet. In addition to this, Jose is incredibly creative and enjoys painting and drawing. He is also an Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM). He came to the United States when he was 11 years old and spent several months in a detention facility before being moved to a foster group home in California. Originally from Guatemala, Jose is painfully shy but has managed to learn some English. Recently, Jose's legal status changed, requiring him to move to Texas. He is very sad to have left everything behind once again.

Jose has had to move around a lot recently and has lost many of belongings through the various moves. He asked for some things for Christmas but is missing a couple of things, including this hoverboard. He would love to get a new hoverboard to replace the one he lost in his last move. This would make a great after Christmas surprise.
