Gichera is a proud member of the NJFC Scholars Program. This program provides funding for youth who have experienced foster care and are seeking a post-secondary degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or a career/technical school. Gichera is studying to become a CNA, and has an amazing goal of one day becoming a pediatrician.

Gichera is simply amazing. They are beating the odds and have enrolled in college to pursue their dreams of higher education. Being a full time college student is hard, and can be even harder without the support of a traditional family structure.
