Penny Lane CentersDerrick is an athletic boy who loves to play basketball. Derrick is currently in foster care and loves his room. Derrick says that he likes privacy and enjoys sleeping in his bed. Derrick attends school close to his foster home and enjoys walking home sometimes. He will ask his caregiver if he can walk home once a week with a schoolmate home. Derrick enjoys the fresh air and exercise. He also likes having one to one time with his friend.
Derrick is a confident kid but he gets a little bothered when his friends joke around about his shoes. Derrick hasn’t had a new pair of shoes in a while. His last two pairs are hand me downs. Derrick enjoys playing basketball and needs a good pair of sneakers to continue to play comfortably in. He will be so excited to go to the store and get a new pair of shoes that are just for him!
