Shaye and her friends are at an age where they are starting to have romantic relationships. However, they are struggling with being hyper-focused on boys. This book discusses feminist concepts based around existing outside of the male gaze, forming strong bonds with friends as a priority, and developing healthy self-concepts. Shaye and 3 of her friends would love to start a book club with this being the first book they read together!
Shaye is 16 years old and lives in CO
Shaye is a very sweet girl with 6 other siblings. She is often in charge of her 3 younger siblings and does a good job taking on that responsibility. Shaye enjoys videogames, crafts, and being social. She is very sweet and gets along with everyone that she meets.
