Gracie was rescued from a life that nobody should have to go through. She has suffered so much abuse and trauma. She is now safe with her great-grandmother and learning how to be a child. She enjoys cooking and baking. She likes to read and do school work. She has a lot of fears to overcome but they are working on those. Her great-grandmother is teaching her to crochet and she is proving to be a fast learner.

Gracie wishes for a new heavy-duty backpack to carry all her heavy books around the school. The one she has now has ripped on the side, and she is worried her things will fall out and she will be embarrassed. She would be so happy and relieved to have a new heavy-duty backpack for school!
