Mecklenburg County Guardian ad LitemSelene is very bright, and is serious when it comes to completing her school work. She is especially fond of writing and language arts. She has a wonderful practice of keeping a daily journal. She is also passionate about music, the arts, and fashion. She has dreams of becoming a recording artist one day, and this year she is able to take Theater Arts as a class in school – she’s thrilled with this. Selene loves dressing up for visits and school.
Selene is working very hard in therapy to build her internal focus of control and establish confidence in herself no matter her circumstances. It is wonderful to see her smile and see her shine when someone invests time and energy into her and provides her with the little, tangible things that make her feel beautiful. Selene has asked for a manicure and pedicure because she realizes self-care is so important!
