Microwavable foods for Kayla and her toddler while she works on stability

Posted Sep 14, 2023
Kayla is in need of assistance with the cost of microwavable foods. She is currently searching for independent housing while managing daily needs. Her son is still in diapers, which is an added expense, and they have to rely on microwavable food to get by. Kayla has faced difficulties with her public assistance, but she is actively working on resolving these issues. She is seeking reliable childcare to enable her to secure employment and achieve financial independence in the near future. Your help in fulfilling this wish will make a huge difference in Kayla's life by providing microwavable foods, which will significantly alleviate her stress.

Kayla is 24 years old and lives in NY

Kayla is a former foster care youth who is currently enrolled in college. After Kayla earns her associate’s degree, she plans to pursue a degree and career in nursing. In addition to be a full-time student, Kayla works with youth in after school and summer programs, which is employment that she has continuously held for the past seven years. She recently found out that she will soon be getting her own apartment, so she is excited about living independently as she works toward achieving her goals and dreams!

The Wish Story

Awesome Human grants the wish for Kayla! Thanks Awesome Human.

"Hi Kayla- I hope that this small gift is able to bring a bit of joy into your world. Even if only for a moment. My wife and I began fostering our granddaughter recently and we know how challenging it must be to be doing everything on your own. Hopefully the food will be a gentle reminder that you're not always alone, and that sometimes strangers really do care. I wish you and your son the best always. - Dale"

One Simple Wish sends the gift to the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Kayla.
