Anthony is a very bright young man that moved to the US less than a year ago. He is very skilled with computers and has found engineering to be what he will work on as a career. Anthony is a survivor of human trafficking and is working through is trauma. He is working diligently to learn English and learning a new language as a late teen is a challenge within itself, let alone assimilating to a new country. Anthony recently moved into a foster home after jumping between homeless shelters and is hoping to find stability. Thankfully, this new home is a Spanish speaking household with a foster mom who also immigrated to the US at a young age and is happy to provide the support and individual attention Anthony needs to become an interdependent young person.

Anthony started school this week and has already begun making many Spanish-speaking friends. When asked what he wanted to do for his birthday, he said he wanted to invite his friends over for s'mores and a movie night. Apart from using the firepit to make smores for his birthday, Anthony would like to continue inviting his friends over on a regular basis for a winter campfire to build his own community from school. Since starting school, Anthony social skills have really helped him feel more included in school and wants to have normative experience like his foster sister by inviting his friends over on a regular basis.
