Amir is an incredible young boy who was adopted from foster care. He's nothing short of a walking miracle, as he had both medical fragility and behavioral challenges as an infant and toddler, and required a lot of support and services. Amir is an exceptional artist, and art is one of his coping mechanisms as people can be overwhelming for him. He dreams of building the things he imagines when he grows up and wants to become a mail carrier.

Amir struggles with sensory regulation during the day and has difficulty sleeping at night. His OT and trauma therapist both recommended a hammock to help regulate and calm his nervous system, but the family was having a hard time finding a hammock that wouldn't damage their walls. This hammock is perfect and since it has its own stand, it can be placed anywhere in the house without any permanent damage to the walls. The hammock would support Amir in regulating daily after school and as a night-time alternative for better sleep to support his body going into REM sleep.
