Jalela has recently made the move from foster care to Independent Living. Jalela has been feeling a little lost during this holiday season as it has been a reminder that she has a limited number of positive supports in her life. This gift card will be a reminder that she is loved and thought of. Jalela loves to shop and will enjoy being taken out to lunch and then to Target to do a little shopping.
Jalela is 18 years old and lives in NE
Jalela has shown great resilience over the past couple years as she has navigated the foster care system once again. Jalela experienced a failed adoptive placement due to no fault of her own. Despite the many hardships, Jalela is spunky, funny and has a great sense of humor. Jalela graduated from high school a semester early but is not quite sure what she wants to do. Jalela has plans to visit a local beauty college to see if working with hair and make-up might be something that interests her.
