Jennis FlowerLoe is one of those students whose resilience and grit shine through in everything they do. Loe graduated from high school with a full-ride scholarship to college while simultaneously aging out of the system with no adult, guardian, or mentor support to lean on. They studied Film and Media Arts but were forced to put their education on hold when they turned 21 and their extended foster care benefits ended. They have spent the past three years working to get their body and their mind out of survival mode in order to sustain themselves and their mental, emotional, and physical strength. They are now at a place where they are ready to explore their full potential and begin to start truly living, not just surviving.
Loe's recent rent increase caused a discrepancy in their food assistance report, which has resulted in them being without food stamps for this month. Loe has promptly sent a new report to reflect their accurate housing costs and income. However, they will not receive their next CALFRESH allotment until March 1st. Loe is in urgent need of food and this gift card will be of great help to them. Food stamps are Loe's only source of food and this gift card will help keep them covered until their next payment in March.
