Candle supplies for Violet's booth at the Foster Youth Flea Market

Posted Feb 13, 2024
Violet will be featured as a returning Foster Youth Flea Market vendor for her second time to sell her candles, crystal goodies, and more! Violet needs support to help her cover supplies and materials to make her candles and prepare her products for the February flea market. She will be so happy to get some help with her needs and be able to continue with her small business venture!

Violet is 29 years old and lives in CA

Violet was in the system from 15 to 18 and didn't receive services after she was emancipated, so she decided to take matters into her own hands and put herself back in school to get her diploma. But she didn't stop there! Violet continued to fight for her education and graduated with her Bachelor's degree from CSULB. While at CSULB, Violet did work-study with the Guardian Scholars and loved giving back to the foster youth community. She is hoping to find a career where she is able to work with at-risk youth. Violet is also a small business owner and creates her own handmade moon phase intention-based candles and other goodies. She dreams of going to graduate school for post-secondary education so she can work with Guardian Scholars programs in Community Colleges.
