She is presently living with a foster family, though this has not always been the case. Maya has been through past placements, including time in a group home, before finding her current foster home. Despite these challenges, Maya continues to try to make the best of her situation.
Maya was recently placed into foster care and will be celebrating her birthday soon. Maya is currently in a group home, and unfortunately, they do not have the ability to purchase gifts for her. Maya has been wanting a new pair of shoes, and this would make her birthday extra special.
