The Foster NetworkMarcos is an outstanding young man who is getting ready to graduate and attend job corp to further his education. Marcos has spent a majority of his life in and out of the foster care system and is in the process of aging out of the foster care system.
Marco is eagerly preparing to take part in his school's upcoming Native American graduation ceremony. As part of the ceremony, he wishes to wear a stunning star quilt that will be draped over his shoulders and wrapped around him. This traditional and significant garment holds a special meaning, as it is believed to bring good dreams, prosperity, and protection to the wearer. For this reason, wearing a star quilt during the ceremony is an essential part of honoring the cultural traditions and heritage of Native American communities.
