Jelani, also known as Jay, is currently living in a foster home with his grandparents and cannot reside with his biological siblings. He regularly keeps in touch with his biological family and often thinks about them. He loves to read and aspires to become a journalist in the future. In school, Jelani has many friends, is a member of the choir, and actively takes on leadership roles whenever possible.

Unfortunately, Jay has been placed in numerous foster homes throughout his life. However, he reconnected with his grandparents last year and has been visiting with them on weekends. Jay is so grateful to have found a family connection that can provide him with the stability that he needs. Jay is moving in with his grandparents in June, and he really wants a gift card to Target to buy decorations for his new bedroom.
