Richard is a hard-working young man. He married his high school sweetheart and has two beautiful children. He joined an electrical trade program and has been working really hard to care for himself and his little family. Richard has a huge drive for success and a real entrepreneurial mindset. Both Richard and his wife are former foster youth, and they also recently became foster parents themselves to their younger nephews once they were informed that they were in need of emergency placement. Richard aims to one day be a mentor to young people like himself who have experienced care and encourage them to become better than what they came from.

Richard works a tough job and eats his lunches outside a lot. He's gone through a good number of lunch carriers and has yet to find one durable and large enough to hold a days' worth of nutrition. He's in his last year of his electrical apprenticeship program and often spends his lunches studying for his test. He has a very little support system, and we are so proud for him and would love to see his smile from receiving this wish.
