Jakari has been in foster care for the majority of his life. He was abandoned by his parents and has struggled with that knowledge from the age of 5. Although he has been through many ups and downs while hopping from resource home to resource home, he is a bright young man who wants a solid future for himself. This now will include his new son. He and his girlfriend welcomed their baby 6 months ago, and although are doing a great job at parenting him at such a young age, they are struggling with affording the necessary items that will help their child with his development.

Jakari is a new father who is in the midst of trying to finish high school. He has been exhausted between both studying and caring for his six-month-old son. He would love a new coffee maker to help him stay more alert in the evenings as he studies for his finals. He's been working so hard and is an amazing father. We are anxiously awaiting his diploma!
