Ciyani spent some time in kinship care before reuniting with her mother. She is a dual major in Special Education and Pre-K to 4 at Kutztown University. Ciyani is a member of the women's rugby team and enjoys creative writing and reading.

Ciyani has been using a laptop for years, and the touchpad has since stopped working, which is creating a barrier for her to complete her summer schoolwork. Her mouse pad stopped working, and when she took it to the IT center, they couldn't help either; the only solution was to use a separate mouse or get a new laptop. She has been using a separate mouse, but it's not something she prefers, especially since it dies randomly at times while she is using it or because she has to plug it into the only USB port of a Chromebook. She typically uses her laptop for all of her assignments, schoolwork, and anything else she needs, which she's had for about four years now. Even when it has problems and such, she typically just hopes that it keeps working when she needs it. Hopefully, with this wish, she would be able to get a new laptop that won't have these issues, so that she can use it for school without constant interruptions.
