An electric scooter for Francis to commute in safely to school and run errands
Francis, 20 years old

Urban League of Hudson CountyFrancis is a young mother who has been in foster care since she was 11 years old. Despite facing many adversities, Francis remains determined to become independent.
Francis would love to have a scooter, which will make independent living more accessible. Currently, due to her limited income, she can’t afford a scooter. She walks to school, a journey that spans more than ten blocks. With a scooter, the daily trek will be replaced with a pleasant ride, allowing her to conserve energy for other tasks. She can use the scooter to go to school, work on getting employment, shop, take day trips, and visit family or friends. The scooter will enable her to perform tasks that she would otherwise be unable to, like running errands, thereby significantly improving her quality of life.
Urban League of Hudson County requests this wish for Francis.
