Maria spent 11 years in care. Their experiences in foster care have made them more determined to succeed and change society's view of foster children. They are extremely proud of graduating high school and hope to graduate college with a degree in Psychology. To Maria, education is a top priority and they are so excited to begin pursuing their education.

Maria wants a TV because she has been without one for three years. Sometimes, when she gets home and wants to relax, she likes to watch "Frozen," "Tangled," or simply unwind after a long, stressful day. Unfortunately, she can't afford a TV right now. Having a TV would bring her happiness, allowing her to enjoy her favorite movies or shows after a tough day at school and in life.
