Zaira entered foster care at the age of 12 after the courts verified that neither she nor her siblings had ever gone to school or seen a doctor. Fortunately, Zaira was placed with a super supportive resource family that has gone above and beyond to help her catch up educationally as much as possible. She is incredibly bright and has worked hard during her few years in school to excel for a brighter future.

Zaira recently graduated high school, and with the help of her CASA advocate, she is practicing her interviewing skills. She recently landed a job interview that will take place in 3 weeks. She would love to be able to show up to the interview in some new professional clothing, as she currently has nothing appropriate to wear. The goal is to go shopping with help so she can learn what type of clothing and footwear is best for a work environment.
