King was adopted at the age of 4 by one of his relatives. The family had suffered a long period of homelessness before finally securing permanent housing. King has suffered significant trauma in his young life which has caused him significant mental health symptoms. However, thanks to the help of a professional therapist and case manager, King is making great strides to develop coping skills and regulate his emotions. King is now helpful around the house and has developed a very trusting and loving relationship with his adopted mother. He is regarded by his family and friends as a very shy child, but loves to be included in activities. As he has made progress, he has started to develop friendships. King enjoys playing basketball, football, and riding bikes.

King is preparing to return to school, but his family needs help purchasing school clothes and supplies. They recently moved into their new home and are facing financial difficulties. King also struggles with low self-esteem and poor self-confidence. Having new clothes for the upcoming school year would help him feel more comfortable and accepted by his new peer group.
