Loe is one of those students whose resilience and grit shine through in everything they do. Loe graduated from high school with a full-ride scholarship to college while simultaneously aging out of the system with no adult, guardian, or mentor support to lean on. They studied Film and Media Arts but were forced to put their education on hold when they turned 21 and their extended foster care benefits ended. They have spent the past three years working to get their body and their mind out of survival mode in order to sustain themselves and their mental, emotional, and physical strength. They are now at a place where they are ready to explore their full potential and begin to start truly living, not just surviving.

Loe has had quite a tumultuous past two years, battling a landlord in LA who refused to fix problems in their studio unit, including black mold, rodents, and broken appliances. They have worked incredibly hard to save enough money to move out and have finally accomplished this milestone! Now that Loe is in a safe and secure housing, they are in need of a mattress for their new apartment, as they are currently sleeping on the floor in their bedroom.
