Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption AssociationKyle is a typical teenage boy who enjoys playing Minecraft, reading comics, and telling jokes. He also loves solving puzzles. He is taking steps to be more independent, such as learning how to cook, and he's doing a great job. Spending time with his family brings him a lot of joy. However, Kyle does struggle to make friends and has some learning challenges that make school difficult for him. He has to work very hard to stay attentive and engaged, which can be a real challenge in his everyday life. Like many kids with challenging pasts, he is working on improving himself every day. He's working with his caregivers to find positive solutions and methods to help him overcome his challenges. Kyle has a lot of potential and will keep working hard to achieve the very best for himself.
Kyle has always dreamt of having his own gaming system. He watches other kids his age with envy, longing to experience the same joy and excitement. It breaks my heart to see him struggle during car rides, overwhelmed by the sensory input. Having his own gaming system could provide him with a sense of normalcy and belonging, making him feel like he fits in with his peers. It's heart-wrenching to witness his longing for something that seems so simple yet holds so much significance for him.
