Kayla is a wonderful single mother of two lovely young children. She loves spending quality time with her kids, especially watching movies together. Like any other hardworking mom, she cherishes a quick nap when she can. Currently, Kayla works part-time as a home health aide, and she's hoping to find a full-time job soon. Kayla is currently without a permanent home after losing her previous one. As a result, she and her kids have been moving from place to place until they can find a stable residence.

Machalea has recently started a new job and is very excited about it. However, her income is limited as she is making $12 an hour. She has small children with several allergies, and has to buy specific, often costly, foods for them. One of her children has a wheat allergy, which makes her grocery bill even higher. Machalea is asking for a Kroger gift card to help cover her grocery expenses for a few weeks while she waits for her EBT card to be sorted out. She has visited the local pantry for assistance, but they didn't have many options without wheat.
