Despite the challenges she has faced while living in foster care, including a period in residential care, Vanessa maintains a positive attitude even in tough times. Vanessa is an avid reader who uses reading as a coping skill and a form of escape. She has discovered the joy of Harry Potter and needs Books 6 and 7 to finish reading the series. She would be thrilled to find out what happens in "Half-Blood Prince" and "Deathly Hallows"!
