Segundo has been in foster care since before he was a teenager and has had multiple placements. However, through each placement, he's used music, reading, and basketball to get through tough times. Segundo is not quick to give up and thrives at being an underdog.
Segundo has a court hearing coming up for his foster care situation. Even though he has never physically attended a court hearing before, he has decided to go in person this time to speak for himself. Segundo is feeling anxious, and he wants to appear at the hearing with confidence. He cares about his appearance and hopes to dress sharply to make a good impression on the judge and the other professionals at the courthouse. Wearing a nice tie would surely boost his confidence a bit.
