Machalea is a resilient single mother of three children who finds joy in spending quality time outdoors with them. Whether it’s going for walks or embarking on road trips, she cherishes these moments together. Alongside her love for nature, singing is another passion that brings her happiness. Her favorite color, blue, reflects her calm and optimistic spirit, even in the face of challenges such as experiencing homelessness. Machalea is asking for help with an airbnb. Due to a disagreement with the people she has been staying with, she now has no place to go for her and her children. She is waiting for a voucher for housing assistance to be approved and has been told no vouchers will be given out this month, so at minimum, she is looking at October. She is limited on funds as she has not been working since she gave birth to her son. Most of the shelters in the area have a waiting list, but to keep from stressing out too much about where they will sleep, even if only for a week, she would like to try to rent an Airbnb.
