Machalea is a strong single mother of three children who has faced many challenges, including experiencing homelessness. Even through these difficulties, she continues to stay positive and focused on building a better life for her family. She really enjoys spending time outdoors with her kids, whether it’s going for walks or taking small road trips together. These moments mean a lot to her and bring her joy. She also loves to sing, which is something that makes her feel happy and relaxed. Her favorite color is blue, which reflects her calm and hopeful personality. Machalea works part-time as a home health aide, a job she truly cares about because she enjoys helping and caring for elderly people. Through her hard work, love for her children, and determination, she continues to push forward toward a brighter future.

Machalea is asking for help with an airbnb. Due to a disagreement with the people she has been staying with, she now has no place to go for her and her children. She is waiting for a voucher for housing assistance to be approved and has been told no vouchers will be given out this month, so at minimum, she is looking at October. She is limited on funds as she has not been working since she gave birth to her son. Most of the shelters in the area have a waiting list, but to keep from stressing out too much about where they will sleep, even if only for a week, she would like to try to rent an Airbnb.
