Jamar is a smart, strong-willed boy. He is one of eight siblings, and it can be challenging at times to get the attention that he needs to help him navigate some of the things that he worries about. He and his siblings have experienced a lot of trauma, which has led to their out-of-home placement. He knows what he wants and is vocal about it. He has learned to stand up for himself and his siblings due to some of his experiences in their biological home. He enjoys playing games like basketball and soccer and riding his bike with friends. Jamar likes the color blue. He loves to eat reman noodles, rice and beans, BLT sandwiches, and plantain chips. Jamar strives to be a good bother and works on bettering himself every day.

Jamar really wants a basketball hoop to help him improve his dribbling, throwing, catching, and pivoting skills. These will not only help him with his motor skills and hand-eye coordination, but also in other activities. Having a hoop can also boost his communication and social skills, plus it's a great way to stay fit, manage stress, build teamwork, and hang out with friends.
